How do I become a Guest, Live Chat or Video Dating member?

New member? Register first as a Guest member.

To become a Guest, Live Chat or Video Dating member you’ll need to create first an account on mydigipass* through the App4Dating website.

Click here and follow the steps.

When you finished the complete registration, you’ll become automatically a Guest member.

*My Digipass, VASCO’s two-factor authentication uses one-time password technology to secure user login and ensure only authenticated users gain access.

 

You wish to upgrade your membership?

To upgrade your Guest membership to a Live Chat or Video Dating membership is easy, select Live Chat or Video Dating, and press continue for checkout.

On the checkout page you’ll see your shopping cart with the product at no cost. Please complete your billing information and press continue.

If everything is correct, check the box ‘By completing your order, you accept E4LG Terms and Conditions’ and continue to the next step.

Finally, you’ll be redirected again to the App4Dating website to continue as a Live Chat or Video Dating member according your selection.

 

How does the website work?

App4Dating provides a very safe and secure way to find and communicate with people of your choice. You can view other people's profiles by searching the site and, in turn, they can view your profile.

Important: When you send a message through App4Dating, this message will be sent from your username, not from your real name and/or email address, protecting yours and the other one’s privacy, please read our privacy policy.

When you are ready you may choose to tell the other member your real contact details. We recommend that you read our safety guidelines first.

 

How to Login as a member?

It's very easy and secure - select Login - click on the 'MYDIGIPASS.COM' icon - MYDIGIPASS will open up - select Smartphone or tablet and scan the QR-code with the MYDIGIPASS app on your smartphone.

 

How do I search?

For a search, specify your (simple or more advanced) requirements in the Search option and click 'Apply’.

 

When you find someone that interests you,

You can put her or his profile to your favorite list by clicking on her or his heart icon (for all members).

You can send her or him messages through your account – ‘My Messages’ or directly on her or his profile, via the ‘Send A Message’ button. (This option is only possible for Live Chat and Video Dating members)

Guest members can only receive and read messages from Live Chat and Video Dating members.

To receive or send messages, through the App4Dating messages service, you need to be at least friends. All members can make friends by sending a request to other members and wait for their approval and/or approve pending requests from other members.

 

When you want to ‘Live Chat’ with someone,

You need to be a Live Chat or Video Dating member.

To chat with someone, you need to be at least friends among other Live Chat and/or Video Dating members. You can make friends by sending a request to other Live Chat or Video Dating members and wait for their approval or approve pending requests from other Live Chat or Video Dating members.

Start chatting by opening the chat box below, at the right corner of your screen. You’ll see your friends online at the moment. If your friend is online, click her or his username and you can start to chat.

If your friend is from another country and doesn’t speak your language, click on the T, on top of the chat box, to ‘translate your conversations’. Your friend will type her or his messages in their language and you’ll receive her or his messages in your language.

 

When you want to ‘Video Dating’ someone,

You need to be a Video Dating member.

To video date someone, you need to be at least friends among other Video Dating members. You can make friends by sending a request to other Video Dating members and wait for their approval or approve pending requests from other Video Dating members.

Start video dating by opening the chat box below, in the right corner of your screen. You’ll see your friends online at the moment. If your friend is online, click her or his username and invite her of him to video chat by clicking on the camera icon.

When your friend accepts to video chat, you can start your live video-conversation with each other through your screen.

You’ll be able to send messages through the chat during the live video-conversation. If your friend is from another country and doesn’t speak your language, click on the T, on top of the chat box, to ‘translate your conversations’. Your friend will type her or his messages in their language and you’ll receive her or his messages in your language.

 

What is the difference between a ‘Go Free’ member and a Live Chat or Video Dating member?

Everyone who sets up a new profile is automatically a ‘Guest’ member. To chat or video dating someone, you need to be a Live Chat or Video Dating member.

 

Is it free, or is there a catch?

To become a Guest, Live Chat or Video Dating member is free.

Guest - members can read messages received from potential matches. Only Live Chat or Video Dating members can write personal custom messages.

 

Why can't I send messages?

To send messages you must be a Live Chat or Video Dating member.

 

Is my privacy respected?

Yes. We will never give your details to other members or use your details for any purpose without your permission. For full details please review our Privacy policy.

 

Is the content censored?

As a rule, no. We're not here to police our members. However, we reserve the right to hide, delete or modify unacceptable profiles. Amongst other reasons we reserve the right to delete or modify profiles that:

Are illegal, e.g. under 18 years of age or solicit contact from people under 18 years.

Are racist, or attack other groups or religions.

How do I get to the Home page?

Select the App4Dating logo at the top of the page to go to the Home page.

 

I've forgotten my login details. How do I find them?

Go to the www.mydigipass.com website, click 'Log in', click 'Smartphone or tablet', click 'Can't log in?' (under the QR-code) and follow the 5 steps of 'Account recovery'.

 

Can I change my password?

Yes, when you're already logged in at the App4Dating website, go to www.mydigipass.com, 'My launch pad' will appear where you can change your password.

 

How do I log out?

You can log out by selecting the 'My Account' at the top right of the header and click 'Logout' underneath.

 

Why must I set up a profile to use the site?

You can’t search the site without setting up a profile. To view member profiles, you need to become a member and set up a profile.

 

Do I have to pay to set up a profile?

No. To set up your profile as a GuestLive Chat or Video Dating member is free of any charges.

 

How do I set up my Profile?

If you are not a member yet, see 'How do I become a Guest, Live Chat or Video Dating member'. If you're already a member, log in and click on My Account.

 

Can I change my Username?

Yes, there're are two (2) possibilities:

Or you delete your present profile and restart again as a new member. This process however cannot be reversed and will completely delete all your details on the site. If you are a Live Chat or Video Dating member and have time left on your subscription, it will be deleted with your records and cannot be refunded or applied to other (future) profiles.

 

How do I change my Profile?

Go to 'My Account' at the top right of the header and click Edit underneath.

 

Can I hide my profile from public view?

Not necessary, only members can view your profile.

 

How do I delete my profile?

Go to the My Account page of your profile, click 'Unsubscribe', click 'Cancel account' and follow the steps.

If you are not sure about this, we recommend that you simply put your profile ‘no available’.

To delete your account on My Digipass, go to www.mydigipass.com Launchpad, click your email address in the right corner at the top and delete your Mydigipass account.

 

How do I add a photo to my profile?

Go to My Account, select edit and scroll down to upload your photos.

We advise you to upload your (required) background photo with a very high resolution and 16:9 format to create the best image on your 'My Account' page.

 

Does my photo automatically show on my profile?

Yes. However, all newly uploaded photos will be checked by our support staff. The same is true of existing photos if you change your primary picture. Photos are usually checked within 24 hours of upload.

 

Are there any specific requirements for adding photos?

No. Your photo must either be in JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP or TIFF format. There is no restriction on the dimensions of the image you upload. We will automatically resize it if it's too large.

 

Why did my photo disappear from my profile?

Your photo may be deleted if it does not comply with our requirements, is obscene or is a picture of a celebrity or other copyrighted material such as cartoon pictures, etc.

 

Why do I not get any results when I search?

You are most probably making your search criteria too narrow. Try relaxing your requirements a bit, e.g. a wider age range, etc. If you are looking for a brunette, blue eyed 24-year-old, smoking female living in Nauru who wants no children, chances are you will not get many results!

 

What is a match?

Matches are other members whose profiles meet the criteria you specified on your Search page.

 

How do I refine my matches?

Make sure your profile is as complete as possible and that your desired partner details are not too open. For example, if your desired partner is a female aged between 18 and 80 living anywhere in the world matching will not work well for you. The trick is to find the right balance between too open a match and too narrow a match. As well as the profile details you specify for a match you have the option to rate how important each detail is.

 

How do I add someone as a favorite?

While viewing a profile, select the heart icon on top of the person's profile photo. In the My account page, select Favorites to watch all your favorites. Select the same icon if you want to remove someone from your favorites.

 

How do I see when a member is online?

When you look at a certain profile, a green bullet will display when this member is online (automatically).

 

Can I remove my favorites?

Yes, you can. Go to My Account, select My Favorites and delete the specific favorites.

 

Can I remove my friends?

Yes, you can. Go to My Account, select My Friends and unfriend your friends.

 

How do I send messages to my favorites and/or friends?

Go to My Account, select My Favorites or My Friends and select your favorite or friend to send a message. Only Live Chat or Video Dating members can write personal custom messages.

 

How can I view the messages/favorites/friends that I have recorded?

You can find your messages/favorites/friends in My Account.

 

How do I contact another member?

Only as a Live Chat or Video Dating member you can contact other members.

 

Will any of my details be exposed?

No. The message sent to the other member will only contain your username, your message and brief instructions telling them how to reply. See our privacy policy for further details.

 

I received a message from another member. How do I reply?

The easiest way is to login, go to 'My Account', click 'My Messages' and reply to the message you received. Remember, you need to be a Live Chat or Video Dating member to send messages.

 

Can I prepare a message using another program and then copy and paste it into the Message box?

The best way to ensure your message displays correctly when the recipient reads it, is to type your message directly into the message box provided.

However, if you want to use another program (e.g. Microsoft Word) DO NOT copy and paste the text you have prepared directly into the message box, as this can cause problems with how the message is displayed once it has been sent.

As an alternative, we recommend that you write your message using a plain text editor such as Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac). If you insist on using a Microsoft Office application such as Word, then you need to export your final copy as a plain text file using the following steps:

 

File ­> Save As...

Set 'Save as type' dropdown to 'Plain Text (*.txt)' Click Save

In the File Conversion dialog box, select the "Other encoding" radio button. Select 'Western European (ISO)' encoding (depending on the written language) Tick the 'Allow character substitution' checkbox and inspect the preview pane Click OK to save the file.

If you follow this method, Word will convert any "smart" characters back to standard characters. However, you must proof check the resultant file to see that Word handled this process correctly.

Once you have done that you can copy your text from the .txt file and paste it directly into the "Write your message..." box.

 

Must I be a Live Chat or Video Dating member to receive messages?

No, you will receive messages sent to your username even if you are not a Live Chat or Video Dating member. You will, however, need to be a Live Chat or Video Dating member to reply.

 

I'd prefer not to receive messages in my regular email inbox. Can you help?

Go to My Account, select My Settings and disable your email notifications.

 

How do I stop receiving messages from a specific member?

Go to My Account, select My Friends and unfriend your actual friend.

Or you can block a specific member through the chat box (only for Live Chat or Video Dating members)

 

How do I remove or delete messages from members I no longer have contact with?

Just click the message and delete.

 

What does it cost to become a Live Chat or Video Dating member at App4Dating?

Nothing, it's for free.

 

Will my profile remain on the site after my subscription ends?

Yes. Your profile will remain as a Guest member until you wish to delete your profile completely.

 

How do I block someone?

Go to My Account, select My Friends and unfriend your actual friend.

Or you can block a specific member through the chat box (only for Live Chat or Video Dating members)

 

How do I report someone?

If another member's behavior is giving you cause for concern or if someone's being downright abusive, please let our Support Team know by selecting the 'Report user' option. All complaints are treated in the strictest confidence and could result in, amongst other things, the suspension or deletion of the offending member's profile.
